Which cities does Air Comfort Systems serve?

Air Comfort Systems covers Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, North Vancouver, Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, Langley and Delta. That is heating, cooling and commercial refrigeration for both residential and commercial customers across all nine.

Who issues the gas permit for a furnace replacement in Metro Vancouver?

It depends on the municipality. Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond and both the City and District of North Vancouver hold delegated authority under the Safety Standards Act and issue their own gas permits. In Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, Langley and Delta, gas permits go through Technical Safety BC instead. The licensed contractor performing the work takes out the permit either way.

Is Richmond the same as Surrey for permits?

No, and they are opposites. Richmond is delegated for gas permits but not electrical. Surrey is delegated for electrical but not gas. A furnace job in Richmond gets its gas permit from the City, while the same job in Surrey goes to Technical Safety BC.

Do you cover both residential and commercial work in every service area?

Yes. Residential heating, cooling and heat pumps, plus commercial HVAC and refrigeration, are available across all nine service areas. Refrigeration is held in house rather than subcontracted, so walk-in coolers and freezers are covered everywhere too.

What are your hours across the service area?

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, across every service area. Urgent no-heat calls and refrigeration failures get priority dispatch within those hours.

My city is not on the list. Do you still come out?

Call and ask. The nine cities listed are where Air Comfort Systems works regularly, but the Lower Mainland is not a hard boundary and it is worth a phone call before assuming.
